- In 1971, There was convention on Ramsar
- Wetland convention implemented from 1975 dec 21
- Koshi Tappu was listed on 1987 and Nepal got membership on 1988.
- Three wetlands on Terai, Jagadishpur, Bishajari and Ghodaghodi listed on 2003
- Four wetland on Hill, Gosaikunda, Gokyo, She Phoksundo and Rara listed on 2007.
- Maipokhai on 2008 and Pokhara on 2016
- Koshi Tappu is biggest with 175 sq km area whereas Maipokhari is smallest with 0.9 sq km.
- Total area of wetland in Nepal is 34455 ( mnemonics, first three than four listed in Ramsar)
- Wetland day first celebrated on 1985
